Come join the Flyer Faithful as they begin the 2007-08 season with a pep rally hosted by UD Athletics and the Red Scare.

The rally begins on Saturday, August 25 at 5 p.m. with a parade through campus by the UD marching band followed by a pep rally at Stuart Field behind the RecPlex.

There will be free food and drink provided by Meijer, Donatos Pizza and Buffalo Wild Wings.

At the rally, appearances will be made by Dayton Flyer coaches, student-athletes, UD's mascot Rudy, cheerleaders and Flyer Pep Band. Promotional items will be distributed by Meijer, Arby's, Donatos Pizza, National City, Life Connection of Ohio, Community Blood Center and the Dayton Daily News.

Flyer fans will also have the opportunity to purchase Red Scare T-shirts for $7 at the rally.

After the rally, the UD marching band will lead the students from Stuart Field to the Flyer volleyball home opener as Dayton hosts the Illinois Fighting Illini at 7:30 p.m. from the Frericks Center.

UD hosts the Dayton Flyer Classic beginning on Friday with a 7 p.m. match against IPFW. Then on Saturday, Dayton will face Bowling Green State at 11 a.m. and Illinois at 7:30 p.m.
