PHILADELPHIA - Atlantic 10 commissioner Linda Bruno announced the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Spring 2005 semester, honoring each student-athlete in the Atlantic 10 with a 3.5 grade point average or better. On the list were 80 student-athletes from the University of Dayton.

"It is an honor to recognize these student-athletes who truly exemplify what the college experience is all about," says Bruno. "Their commitment to excellence on and off the playing field is inspiring and should serve as an example to all."

In the Fall of 2004, the Presidents Council of the Atlantic 10 Conference changed the parameters of the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Now, the Honor Roll will be announced at the end of each semester and will consist of student-athletes with grade point averages of 3.5 or better for that semester. Previously, one honor roll, encompassing the entire year, was announced, consisting of student-athletes with a cumulative 3.0 GPA or better.

The 80 Dayton student-athletes on the list ranks UD fifth out of 12 Atlantic 10 schools.
