Facilities
UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON ARENA
The crown jewel of UD's superb athletic facilities, the UD Arena is regarded as one of the nation's best college venues. A $13.1 million renovation was completed in 2002 which updated the arena's concourses, facades, concessions and restrooms and added valuable premium seating, clubs and retail space. Both the new Time Warner Cable Flight Deck and a renovated Boesch Lounge, along with the accompanying loge seats and suites at each end, offer a perspective on the game unlike any other. A regular stop for the NCAA Tournament, UD Arena has been an NCAA site in 22 of the last 39 years and will have hosted 77 NCAA Tournament games. The Arena will be a First and Second Round site for the 2009 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, and a Regional site for the 2010 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship.
WELCOME STADIUM
University of Dayton football team has called Welcome Stadium home for 32 seasons. The 1991 Sports Illustrated college football issue noted that the name Welcome on a stadium does not describe how difficult visiting teams have found it to win against the Flyers, and it still remains true today. The word implies hospitality, but Dayton has been anything but hospitable to its opponents at home winning more than 83 percent of their games at the venue. Welcome Stadium currently features an Astroturf playing surface, full-density urethane 400-meter running track with a steeplechase pit, and a FairPlay scoreboard with video reply capability. The stadium has a seating capacity of 11,000. Also in the stadium are locker facilities, a two-level indoor press box, an outer press area, and concession stands under both sets of grandstands.
THOMAS J. FRERICKS ATHLETICS AND CONVOCATION CENTER
The Thomas J. Frericks Athletic and Convocation Center is home to the Flyer volleyball team. The Frericks Center is the third-largest volleyball-only facility in college volleyball.  Its 5,000 seat capacity is only behind Arkansas' Barnhill Arena (9,000) and Murray State's Cutchin Fieldhouse (5,500). The facility has underwent numerous renovations since 2003 include a new locker room, adding a volleyball specific scoreboard, new lighting, seating area, championship banners and a Sport Court volleyball floor. UD's red and blue floor that is marked just for volleyball competition is the same surface that the U.S. National team plays on. The venue was also the site of the First and Second Rounds of the 2007 NCAA Women's Volleyball Tournament.
BAUJAN FIELD
Since becoming the exclusive home to UD soccer, Baujan Field has grown into one of the top soccer venues in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The facility boasts a well-maintained natural grass surface with an irrigation system as well as a lighting system, allowing for night games. A scoreboard on the east end and a pair of bleacher seating sections on the south side were new additions to the field in 1999. On the north side of the field, a brick-faced terraced seating section was built into the hillside. The project, totaling more than $500,000 and fully funded with private donations, helped increase the seating capacity to 2,000.
TIME WARNER CABLE STADIUM
Time Warner Cable Stadium, UD baseball's new $4 million facility, was dedicated on May 5, 2005. It features a press box, wireless Internet, covered chair back seating behind home plate, concessions and restrooms. The team will also benefit from an indoor hitting/pitching cage with team rooms located along the right field line that can be used throughout the year. The facility is a part of the UD Sports Complex along with UD Arena, Welcome Stadium, UD Softball Stadium and football practice facility.
UD SOFTBALL STADIUM
UD Softball Stadium in 2005 as part of the Arena Sports Complex on the banks of the Great Miami River. UD softball stadium features dugouts, batting cages, bullpens with multiple pitching rubbers and a state-of-the-art natural grass playing surface. Future plans include grandstand seating, press box, concessions and permanent restrooms. The unique location offers fans scenic views of the Great Miami river and Carrillon Park while enjoying Flyer softball games.
ATHLETICS PRACTICE FACILITY
The renovation of the Athletics Practice Facility provides quality indoor practice space for basketball, football, track & field, tennis, soccer, baseball and softball. It enables the Flyers to simultaneously enhance the student-athlete experience and competitive performance. The refurbished facility, which opened in January 2007, benefits more than 350 Flyer student-athletes. By adding the additional practice space, UD teams gain flexibility to train and practice.
ROWING FACILITIES
The Boathouse
UD Women's Rowing Team trains out of a boathouse in Moraine, located on East River Road just 10 minutes from campus. They share the boathouse with the UD Men's Rowing Team and the Dayton Boat Club (DBC). The two-bay boathouse was built by volunteers from these three teams, and provides access to over 5000 sheltered meters of the Great Miami River.
