Athletics Practice Facility

The University of Dayton has experienced a transformation over the last 10 years. The Division of Athletics has contributed to this transformation by executing a strategic long term vision that has built an authentic broad based sports program. UD has produced 18 conference championships and 17 post season teams in the last eight years. In eight years prior to that, we had seven championships and only one post season appearance.

The emergence of highly competitive broad-based sports programs has created stress on the Athletics Facility infrastructure. Our competition facilities and fields are impressive, but we lack indoor practice space, time, and facilities. Some of our teams practice as early as 5 a.m. and as late midnight...not a quality experience for our student-athletes.

The renovation of the Physical Activities Center is underway. The renovation provides quality indoor practice space for basketball, football, track & field, soccer, baseball and softball. It enables us to simultaneously enhance the student-athlete experience and competitive performance.

Gifts for the renovation of the Physical Activities Center will impact the day-to-day experience of our 450 student athletes. In addition, the renovation of the facility creates an impressive infrastructure necessary for both for recruiting and positioning Dayton for the future.
