Student Athlete Advisory Committee

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a committee comprised of student-athlete representatives from the 17 University of Dayton Athletics teams.

The purpose of the SAAC is to provide student-athletes the opportunity to communicate more effectively with University of Dayton athletic administration, coaches and staff. It enables student-athletes to provide recommendations for the improvement of academic, athletic and social experiences. The committee encourages unity, common purpose and camaraderie between teams and among all student-athletes. It also encourages community involvement through service projects and fund-raisers.

The goals of SAAC are as follows:
  • To assist in creating stronger lines of communication between student-athletes and athletic administration.
  • To increase the level of participation by student-athletes in community service activities.
  • To organize activities and special events that encourages all student-athletes to participate.
  • To share information and feedback to team members about SAAC, student issues and upcoming events.
  • To provide feedback to enhance the experience of Dayton student-athletes.
SAAC is organized by an athletic department advisor, co-chairs and an executive committee that meet throughout the academic year. Student-athletes who are interested in representing their team should talk with their head coach or contact Heather Hogan at (937) 229-4826.
