The
Flyer Athletics Competitiveness Fund
The University of Dayton, Division of Athletics, is dedicated to
educating the total person by integrating the primary academic purposes with
educational possibilities and opportunities beyond the classroom. The
combination of academics and fields of play and arenas of competition has
allowed the University to produce distinctive graduates and citizens.
Though our tradition of success reflects many generations of
extraordinary student-athletes, the competitive landscape of intercollegiate
athletics continues to require the Division of Athletics to raise substantial
funds to maintain a high level of achievement. Private donations are critical
for the continued success of our 17 varsity sports and the academic and athletic
achievement of 450 student-athletes.

How Are We Doing?
Competitively, UD expects to contend for
conference and individual championships, as well as postseason play in all of our team and individual sports. Academically, the latest Graduation Success Rate data released
by the NCAA revealed a 96 percent rate, placing us sixth out of more than 325 Division I
Institutions.
