The Flyers will face the UNLV Rebels for the first time in program history when they open up their regular season on Friday, Aug. 29 at the ASU Sheraton Classic. Despite being picked fifth in the Mountain West Conference coach's preseason poll, the Rebels are coming off their best season in program history. UNLV returns three starters Melody Nua, Jessica Walters and Erin Greenwood to their roster that helped the team achieve their 24-6 record.
The University of Dayton women's soccer team received votes in the latest NSCAA/adidas® Top 25 National Ranking. The Flyers received 12 votes in a poll of the nation's best soccer programs. Dayton is also currently ranked fourth in the Great Lakes Region.
UD hosts Denver, Wisconsin and Wright State in the Dayton Flyer Marriott Invitational Labor Day Weekend at Baujan Field. All four teams will play their season openers Friday. Wisconsin and Wright State kick off the tourney on Friday, Aug. 29 at 5:30 p.m. Dayton opens its regular season against Denver at 8 p.m. Friday. All four teams take to the field again Sunday with Wisconsin and Denver squaring off at 11:30 a.m. Dayton and Wright State going to battle at 2:30 p.m.
